Crowns and bridges
Crowns and bridges are the most common cosmetic dental procedures that can help you to have a more beautiful and confident smile.
At Crystal Dental Clinic we are specialized in the area of dental crowns and bridges. We can give you the most aesthetic result possible with the best dental materials and technology available
Dental crowns are synthetic, crafted caps that fit over damaged teeth.
As we get older, our teeth might begin to weaken and become structurally unsound because of many problems such as decays, root canal treatments, lost fillings, cracks, damages or improper bite and grinded teeth.
These situations require tooth restoration that can help restore the proper function and aesthetic of the natural tooth.
What are the benefits of dental crowns:
- protect tooth FROM FURTHER damage or decay
- eliminate pain or sensitivity
- strenghten broken, cracked teeth
- protect a weak tooth (root canal)
- maintain a balanced bite
- restore functionality
- effective and long term solution -with proper oral health up to 15 years
- less plaque retention due to smooth and accurate shape of the crown
- look and feel completely natural (no visible difference between a dental crown and your natural teeth) to improve appearance
Dental bridges:
Our teeth play an important role in speaking, chewing and in maintaining proper alignment. If you are missing a tooth it must be replaced to maintain the proper functionality of your mouth and to correct your smile's appearance. Fortunately, dental bridge is an excellent way to to fill the gap created by a missing tooth. With this fixed (non-removable) appliance you can regain your confidence. The bridge may take a little time to get used to, but after a few days it will feel like you have your own teeth back again.
Types of Dental crowns and Dental bridges
All- ceramic crowns (PROCERA or ZIRCON crowns):
Porcelain dental crowns are extremely popular with our patients as they offer excellent translucency so they provide the most natural look. They are the best option for front teeth because of their "life-like" appearance. There are many types of all-ceramic crowns available.
Porcelain fused to metal crowns (PFM):
Porcelain is combined with metal shell for increased strength and durability. If the crown is for a back tooth, porcelain fused to metal is a good choice, as it's very strong, makes a good chewing surface and it also offers a good blend of appearance
The advantages of metal-free (porcelain or zirconium) dental crowns and dental bridges:
- 100% metal-free, biocompatible - high-allergy-risk patients can also have them
- great solution for high-span bridges
- superstructures on implants
- high aesthetic demand
PROCERA dental crowns and dental bridges:
- 99.5 percent pure aluminum oxide, biocompatible
- strength of PROCERA restorations is higher to withstand functional and parafunctional loadings
- excellent color stability and masking effect of the material (translucent coping)
Fixed and removable denture
Dentures are removable dental appliances that replace missing teeth. Unlike dental implants and dental bridges, which are more or less permanently affixed to the bone, dentures are prosthetic teeth attached to a supporting structure. Dentures can be removed at night, for cleaning, or whenever desired. The most affordable dentures are those made with traditional plastic prosthetic teeth, but even more expensive porcelain cosmetic dentures usually cost less than implants.
Porcelain veneer
Porcelain veneers are a very popular nowadays in cosmetic dentistry because they can transform your imperfect smile to a perfectly aligned symmetrical white smile.
When a simple filling or a whitening procedure may not be enough to regain your natural good looking smile, porcelain veneers may be an attractive option for you.
Veneers are designed to cover the front face of your tooth to improve color, shape and size.
Veneers are custom fabricated, ultrathin layers of porcelain that are placed over the front of your teeth to provide a perfect Hollywood white smile.
We recommend veneers to hide many aesthetic problems including:
- gaps between teethm
- stained teeth
- asymmetry
- irregularly shaped teeth
- misaligned teeth
- broken teeth
- chipped teeth
- discolorations
Dental Inlay / Onlay
Dental inlays and onlays are restorations used to repair rear teeth that have a mild to moderate amount of decay. They can also be used to restore teeth that are cracked or fractured if the damage is not severe enough to require a dental crown. Inlays and onlays are usually made from porcelain, composite resin, and sometimes even from gold. Because they can be created from tooth-colored materials, inlays and onlays are often used to replace metal fillings for patients who desire a more natural looking smile. Read on to find out about how inlays and onlays may be able to enhance your smile's health and appearance.
